Olympic National Park

It rained most of the night last night and was still raining this morning when we broke camp. We kept driving up Hwy 101 through parts of Olympic National Park until we got to Forks, WA then turned west toward the coast.
The first of many eagles we saw today

Amazing amount of driftwood on the beach

Lighthouse in the distance

Getting through the driftwood to the beach was a challenge

Wet beach

What I could build with all that wood!

We stopped at a small RV park at Three Rivers with water, elec, and wifi for $21/day.
After lunch the rain unexpectedly stopped and we drove over to the coast which is about 5 miles from our campsite. First we went to a small fishing village called La Push.

Rock where we saw at least 8 bald eagles

Large piece of driftwood

Most of the coastline here is included in the national park so it is not developed and is very beautiful. We saw 8 bald eagles flying over one small island just off the coast.  We then drove to  Mora Beach which is part of the national park and hiked along the beach.
The beach here is covered with pebbles and smooth rocks

Another hole-y rock

Along drive back to campsite
