Nebraskaaaaaah......

Today we drove from Nebraska City, NE to Cheyenne, Wy, about 468 miles.  Pretty uneventful day, clear weather most of the way with temps in 40s and 50s.  Thankfully the wind had died down some so we got about 8.5 miles per gallon.  Eastern 2/3 of Nebraska is flat farm land and western 1/3 is desert like grassland. Saw a little bit of snow left from last weekend's storm. Also had a lot of construction on I-80 at the end of the trip but it did not really slow us down. Tonight we are in the AB Camping RV park in Cheyenne.  It is a small park in town but very quiet since it is far from the main highways.  It also has a restaurant that serves some great Southern style pulled pork barbecue. Reg gas was $2.09 - $2.43 today.  Our campsite was $40 with full hookups and cable tv and Goodsam discount. Looking forward to tomorrow as we can see the Rockies in the distance.
