A cold, clear morning today as we left Yellowstone. We did make a few stops on our way out of the park since we had not been to the northern half of the park on this trip.

Steamboat geyser rarely erupts |
The road out of the park is steep and scary with 5000 lbs of trailer behind you.
Our last stop in Yellowstone was Mammoth Hot Springs
The hot springs are constantly changing the topography |
A lot of water was coming down the hillside but soaked back into the ground at the bottom |
The elk here are almost tame |
Large gray rock is old hot spring cone called the Devil's Thumb |
The terraces look almost man made |

View of Montana from Mammoth Hot Springs |
Had a nice drive to Billings, MT with only a brief rain shower. We are finally thawing out with temps near 60 deg F yesterday and reaching upper 60s today. Tomorrow we keep heading east to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
