Idaho to Montana

Finally, a day without rain!
Our campsite at Clearwater Crossing RV Park

This was river crossing before bridges

It was still cool with temps in 40s most of the day but finally getting into the 50s in the afternoon.  We drove Hwy 12 from Orofino, ID to Deer Lodge, MT.  Hwy 12 follows the Clearwater and Lochsa rivers in Idaho for 200 miles so I was like driving through a national park with rivers, trees and mountains all across Idaho and the road was almost deserted.

Lochsa River

This picture is for you, Shannon

Lots of rapids on the Lochsa
As we neared Montana the highway crossed the Bitterroot Mountains which were covered with snow from the storm earlier in the week.
In Missoula we took I-90 towards Butte, MT.

Tonight we are in the KOA in Deer Lodge, MT camped by a creek with snow capped mountains all around.  We actually have good wifi and cell service tonight. Gas is only $2.36 for regular, the best price since we left home.
