Today was our first full day in Alaska. Nancy and I went back into Skagway and took the National Park Service ranger tour of the city and did some shopping.
We came back to camp at 11:00am for caravan briefing on schedule for next few days.
After lunch we took the train up to the mountain summit and back. Our caravan group had a rail car to ourselves. We were treated to some spectacular views of the mountains and Skagway harbor.
No free Wifi here so I am going to wait until tomorrow to post.
Funny that you say you won't be sitting outside because it's too chilly...here it's just recently gotten cool enough to be able to walk outside and still breathe and not go running back to the safety of air conditioning. I'm talkin like 88, but I'll take that over 98!
ReplyDeleteTrains are fun :) What a neat way to see the sights!
