No, it's not her birthday, she visited her 50th state as she finally checked off Nevada!
We spent Tuesday resting and waiting for the truck to be repaired. Was supposed to be done by 2pm but when I called at 1pm they said it would be ready around 4pm. Got to the dealership at 3:30pm and told them I was there in the waiting room. At 4:51 asked what the status was and they said, "Oh, it's ready, didn't they tell you?" Needless to say, I was a little upset. Anyway, we got back on the road again and drove until about 8pm.
Got a good view of the Great Salt Lake as we left town.

This resort pavilion was built in the lake in early 1900's, it is now at least 20 ft above water level |
We then drove through miles of salt flats left by the shrinking lake.

This looked just like a lake with white water |

I can walk on water! |

Looks like ice |

It even has ripples |

Salt pile |

Utah desert |
Then we were treated to a beautiful sunset.
And the really big news, we spent the night in a Walmart parking lot. First time we tried that. There were lots of other campers there, too. We slept about 6 hours then got back on the road.
Good to hear that you actually got on the road sooner than later. As for you not being told it was ready when it was, chalk it up to left hand right hand miscommunication, if you know what I mean.
