Monterey CA

Friday we drove down the coast about 30 miles to Monterey/Carmel area. There are a lot of vegetable and fruit farms in this area.

Strawberry fields forever

Along the way we stopped at Moss Landing beach and wildlife sanctuary.

In Monterey we went to Cannery Row for shopping and lunch.

After lunch we drove further down the coast towards Carmel and saw some spectacular scenery.  It was difficult to select which pictures to post with so many great views.

Carmel is an exclusive private community.  They charge $9.75 per carload just to drive through it in an effort to keep out the riff-raff.  We went anyway.

Can you find the rodent in this picture?

Look at all the seals!
