Yellowstone day 1

Today we explored the northeast part of Yellowstone . First we went to Mammoth Hotsprings area to see where Shannon will be working.  Her office and quarters are located in the old Fort Yellowstone.

The old officer quarters where Shannon will be staying have just been renovated and are very nice. She will be sharing one half of the house with 3 others.

After lunch we drove to Tower Falls. Along the way we saw bison, antelope, deer, wolves, elk, bear and marmots and lots of nice scenery.

Weather was cool and cloudy most of the day with temps in the 60s. It started to rain about 3pm so we headed back to camp.
