Reprieve in Montana

After 3 hard days of driving we are 1700 miles from home in Billings, MT. Had a pretty good day on the road with lots of different scenery and good weather. We got off the interstate highway for a while  at Rapid City and drove through the Black Hills to Custer City and Jewel Cave Natl Monument. Unfortunately, all the cave tours were booked so we kept driving till we got to Billings.  Shannon selected a KOA for us to stay at and we got the last spot they had. When we arrived we realized that KOA is next to the GoodSam park we had such a bad experience at last year. Fortunately the KOA is very nice with pool, hot tub, mini golf and nice spacious lots with shade. It is also next to the Yellowstone river which is a lot closer tonight due to flooding.  If it gets about 8 feet higher we are in trouble.
Saw two great signs today, the first was an advertisement for a  Mexican restaurant and read “So good Trump would build a wall around it”.
The other sign was sitting on an old stove which was in the middle of a pasture, the oven door was open and the sign read “Open Range”
There are showers around tonight and temps are in the 70s.
