The weather forecast called for rain today so we stayed in Gardiner and did laundry and looked around the local shops. This evening we are having dinner with Shannon and some of her coworkers.

Yellowstone Day 3 - Critter hunt
Our goal today was to photograph wolves, grizzlies and other critters. Didn’t see any wolves and apparently we just missed seeing a grizzly but we did see lots of bison, elk and antelope along with a few other critters. We explored a road to the northeast section of the park we hadn’t seen before.
On the way back we revisited Mammoth Hot Springs to see the upper section that we missed last year.
Another nice day with temps in 50s and 60s.

Yellowstone Day 2 - waterfalls
Another beautiful day with temps ranging from the mid 40s to mid 70s depending on our altitude which ranged from 5000 ft to 9000 ft. First we headed back to Mammoth Hot Springs area to get a better photo of the owls but only saw one adult.
After that was a short hike to Wraith Falls, a very pretty cascade.
We had a picnic lunch near Dunraven Pass then on to one of my favorites, the Lower Falls on the Yellowstone River. I know there are too many pictures but like I said, it’s one of my favorites.
Finally on to the Upper Falls which I could not get a good shot of due to construction
