High Plains Drifters

Today we drove from Rapid City, SD to Great Falls, MT, about 506 miles.  The prices are increasing with the altitude, gas today ranged from $2.69 to $2.92 a gallon and camping tonight was $55 (very nice KOA though).
Started early this morning as our bodies are still on central time.  We drove in heavy fog all through the Black Hills with temps in the 50s.

Once we entered Wyoming the skies cleared and it warmed up to the sixties.

By the time we got to Montana we were ready for a break so we decided to stop at Little Bighorn National Battlefield, or as we in the South call it, Custer's Payback.

Here are some of Nancy's wildflower shots

We really liked the Indian exhibit

About 3pm we ran into heavy rain and drove in rain the next two hours. Lucky for me, Nancy had to do most of that shift. We saw a large wind turbine farm but it was too rainy for good pics.
