History Lesson

Today the weatherman promised sunshine, he lied. Another cool, rainy day as we toured Concord, Lexington, and Lowell Massachusetts.  First we started at the Concord North Bridge where the Minutemen had their first victory over the British army. The British were trying to confiscate guns and powder the militia had at Concord.  Our ancestors realized that if the government took their weapons they would be defenseless.

Next we stopped at Walden Pond.

Then it was back to the Minuteman National Battlefield on the road from Concord to Lexington where the Minutemen harassed the British troops as they retreated to Boston.
