December 30 Tintern Abbey
A short bus ride from Chepstow is TinTern Abbey partially destoyed by King Henry VIII when he split from the Catholic Church. A good way to see how these magnificent buildings were constructed.
A reproduction of statue of Mary that was found in the abbey.
A nice train ride
A good dinner after a busy day.
A tree planted about 1900 to celebrate the King's coronation.

December 30 Chepstow Castle
A visit to EZngland would not be complete without seeing a castle so we took a train to Wales to see Chepstow Castle.
Model of the castle when first constructed soon after the Norman invasion. It is supposedly the oldest castle in the UK that is still mostly intact.
Built on a high cliff by the river between Wales and England.
England across the river
Signs in English and Welsh
