Got a call from our Alaska trip leader, checking to make sure we got info packet and had done everything we needed for the trip.  There will be 23 RVs including the 2 leaders in the caravan.

Maiden voyage for new camper

Took a short trip to Old Stone Fort State Park to try out the new camper. Had a good trip and except for a little rain Monday night the weather was great, nice and cool. Virtually had the campground to ourselves. Only one other camper Monday night and 2 more Tuesday night. It was much easier to set up and take down than the popup, and the shower and toilet was nice.

Also, was the first camping trip for Copper, our red haired border collie. He had a great time and did really well with the leash and not peeing in the camper.

More trip preparations

Nancy took the truck in to be serviced today; new tires, new brakes, rotor, transmission fluid replaced. oil change, etc. Everything should be ready for the trip. Planning a short trial run next week.
In other news, we got our new puppy Saturday night, a red haired border collie. Spent the day today working on his dog house, a log house to match our other out buildings.

Camper

We are excited about our new (used) camper, a 07 Starcraft Antigua. After years of tent and popup camping we finally have bathroom, shower, oven and large refrigerator. Can't wait to try it out if schedule and weather will ever cooperate.
