Yellowstone Day 4 - Old Faithful

Saturday was clear and warmer. Temps ranged from the 40s to the 60s but with sunshine , low humidity and no wind it felt much warmer. We drove east then south in the park over Mt Washburn and viewed some hot springs we had not seen before.

Next we stopped at the West Thumb area where the hot springs extend out into the lake.

After that it was on to geyser basin to watch Old Faithful and take a tour of the Old Faithful Inn.

Our next stop was the Grand Prismatic spring.

It was late afternoon when we finally got back to Shannon’s quarters at Mammoth Hot Springs and met her new housemate Janie. After some unpacking and arranging we all went out for pizza.
