49 down, one to go

We were treated to a beautiful sunrise and rainbow this morning in Boise.
Our home on wheels

Ooh man, double rainbow!!
We drove through a few light showers on our way to Oregon, my 49th state visited.  In Idaho we passed a lot of good farm land and a few interesting geological features.

For some unknown reason our WAZE traffic app took us on a round about back road route so I never actually noticed when we entered Oregon.  We followed the Malheur River for several miles which was a very pretty canyon.

Then lots more high desert and mountains with several extinct volcanoes in the distance.

In central Oregon we passed two large alkali lakes with neighboring salt flats and sand dunes.

Then we went back into the mountains with large pines in the Fremont National Forest.  We met Nancy's friend Pat in Sprague River and she took us to their cabin then we followed her to Klamath Falls.

Pet cemetery, the markers are logs.

After unhooking the trailer at the Klamath Falls KOA we went to Pat's house and had dinner with her and her husband David. Temps were in the 60's in Boise, 50's in the mountains, and had dropped to the 40's in Klamath Falls this evening.  Gas was from $2.69- $2.89 for regular here and you cannot pump it yourself, you must let an attendant do it.
