Leaving Mesa Verde Wednesday we headed for Utah. Once we neared Canyonland National park the scenery changed dramatically.

KOA in Moab, UT
We arrived in Moab, UT about 2pm and pulled into a RV park only to find that a lot of events are scheduled for the weekend and everything was booked,  After several frantic phone calls we finally got the last open spot at the KOA  but we will have to rough it with no cable or sewer hookups.
After checking into the campground and grabbing some lunch we headed for Arches National Park.  The park was already pretty crowded with a long line at the entrance.

Delicate Arch just before sunset, you can't see it in this photo but there was a wedding at the base of the arch.

Friday morning we got up early and headed back into Arches NP and there was already a long line by 8AM.  We headed back to Delicate Arch so we could hike to the top of the mesa where the arch is.

Delicate arch from the top, notice the people at the base to see how large it is.
