Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park

Sebago Lake

Sebago Lake

We left Sebago Lake early this morning.  It was bright and sunny but cool. We took the coast highway to Bar Harbor and drove through several pretty little towns and some beautiful country.

We made one interesting stop at a store someone had told us about, the store sells wood items crafted by the prisoners at the state prison. There were some really amazing items.

We arrived at our campground about 1:30pm, set up camp then drove to nearby Acadia National Park.  We are going to explore more of the park tomorrow but today we drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain for a wonderful 360 degree view of the area.

  1. Forty years ago come August, Terry and I celebrated our honeymoon at Booth Bay, Bar Harbor and Acadia. In August there are literally tons of wild blueberries growing at the top of Cadillac Mountain.
