Cape Cod Day 2

We are staying in the Bayside Campground at the lower end of Cape Cod. It is a huge campground with 3 swimming pools, tennis courts, game rooms, shops and restaurants. We have plenty of shade although so far  we haven't needed it, it was in the 60's today and cloudy.  Many of the sites have permanent summer residents who come here every year so they have added decks and gardens and all kinds of decorations.  One camper has even set up an garden model railroad.

There are even "facilities" for the pets.

This morning we drove to the Heritage Museum and Gardens near Sandwich, MA.  The gardens were beautiful and contained the most beautiful rhododendrons I have ever seen.  I think our friend Yoda is hiding in a couple of these pictures.

The museum had some really cool old cars.

There was also a Norman Rockwell exhibit but no photos were allowed.

After the museum we drove through the little town of Sandwich and stopped for lunch at a pizzeria.  Seemed kind of ironic to be eating a pizza in Sandwich but it was good.  Lots of neat old houses and buildings there.  We then drove to the southern coast of Cape Cod and went to Hyannis and Barnstable.  We walked on the beach a bit and Nancy picked up some shells.

We returned to camp and had a cookout with our friends then sat around the fire and tried to sing some songs but no one  could remember the lyrics.
