Skagway to Whitehorse, YT

We left Skagway about 8:20am this morning with cool, cloudy weather. Temps were in the low 50s and dropped to the low 40s as we climbed back up into the mountains. I could hardly see the road as we drove up into the clouds.

The drive through the coastal mountains wasn't as pretty as the trip down, but still pretty awesome.

Once again we breezed through customs without a problem.

We stopped at Carcross again so Nancy could get her souvenir book stamped.

This may be where we will be living after paying for this trip

This is supposedly the smallest dessert in the world, sand dunes left by ancient glacial lake.

This is called Rainbow lake.

This is an abandoned roadhouse by an abandoned railroad.
Megan, this picture is for you.

We arrived in Whitehorse about noon and headed for Wally World to restock groceries. Had a brief shower but the sun is out now and temps are in mid 50s.  Tonight we going to another show then tomorrow we head
for Destruction Bay.

  1. Prairie dog!
It seems to have more grey fur than the ones in South Dakota (which are yellowish).
